Be delighted by acclaimed flutist Tara Helen O’Connor performing Boccherini’s B-flat major Flute Quintet, a work of great charm and vitality. Enjoy the return of the Orion String Quartet performing Bartók’s sixth String Quartet, a work composed with rich, modern sonorities. Enjoy the lyricism of the program’s concluding work, Dvořák’s second Piano Quintet, featuring original melodies in a Czech folk-music style.
