Join us for the return engagement and an unforgettable evening of live jazz fusion with The Stephen Philip Harvey Octet at the Ebenezer Theater on Saturday, July 20, 2024. Led by saxophonist and composer Stephen Philip Harvey, and featuring Thomas Schinabeck on alto sax, Tommy Lehman on trumpet, Reggie Watkins on trombone, Dan Bruce on guitar, Ben Tweedt on piano, Vinny Vivacqua on bass, and Dustin May on drums, SPH8  will perform selections from their upcoming album, “Live at Radio Artifact,” featuring original compositions and arrangements recorded live in Cincinnati, OH. Don’t miss this opportunity to experience the dynamic energy and creativity of SPH8 live on stage!

“There’s a fine indiscipline to Harvey’s big band writing. Ominous horror film riffs sit comfortably alongside soaring album rock guitar solos, urgent, cop show horn fanfares and creamy unison sax section passages straight out of the Thad Jones – Mel Lewis Orchestra’s book. It’s a fridge raid omelet of sounds held together by the audaciousness of Harvey’s conception and the joy with which his players bring it to life:” – John Chacona of All About Jazz
