Personal Perspectives
The concert opens with Mozart’s brilliant Duo for Violin and Viola showcasing Catherine Cho and husband Todd Phillips. Discover composer Reena Esmail, in Zeher (Poison in Hindustani), a short work commissioned by the Aizuri Quartet, which combines Indian and Western musical traditions. And delight in Schubert’s Piano Trio No. 1, a cheerful and lyrical work, composed a year before his death, a poignant reminder of Schubert’s genius.
